Grace wanted a
snowman party this year for her birthday, I think she was thinking of an outside one, but it was at night and it was dark and cold and the snow outside was that frozen,
melted,
frozen again, not much good for a snowman party kind of snow, so we had an indoor snowman party! It was so much fun, we played pin the eyes, nose and buttons on the snowman, the little ones loved it! We then used toilet paper, hats, scarves and buttons to make Grandma and Emily into snowmen. We did it relay race style boys against girls. Kendrik, Chandler and McKade built Grandma into a snowman, and Savannah, Ashlyn, Audrey, Grace and Kaylee built Emily into a snowman. It was full of giggles and silliness and they loved it! Then each one of the kids got to build a donut snowman, then we topped off sugar with more sugar and let them eat cupcakes and ice cream! It was a really fun evening and I just love the opportunity the kids have of having lots of cousin, aunts, uncles and grandparent time! It really is a blessing living so close to family and I just love it! Here are a few snapshots from that fun evening!
Grace's snowman cake - it was actually made out of cupcakes, the bakery did an amazing job! Grace loved it!

Larren cut out a ton of paper snowflakes to hang from the ceiling to decorate the living room and kitchen for her snow party! We felt like we were in the middle of a blizzard! It was really fun, what a great dad to slave away and make all those snowflakes for her!

Audrey pinning a button on the snowman, Kendrik and Grace looking on!

The boys team getting started on making Grandma into a snowman!

The girls team trying to getting Emily covered in snow! They had so much fun!

Emily the abominable snowman, the girls did an awesome job getting their snowman all put together! Emily was a terrific sport!
The boys with their grandma snowman all done! I'm pretty sure we declared it a tie it was a great effort on everyone's part! The spectators had so much fun watching the snowmen being built, it was hilarious! How fun to have such a wonderful grandma and aunt who will participate and let the kids have a blast and be such wonderful sports!

Somewhere in the middle of that is Grace opening a present!

Where's Grace?!? I love how at every party the birthday kid gets lost in a sea of cousins! Grace had a great night and so did the other kids and I love that at the end of the party the kids that attended had just as much fun as the guest of honor!
