Yellowstone National Park with the Cousins
On Memorial Day we went to Yellowstone Park with Bryan and Jamie and their family! It was such a nice getaway! We saw lots of bison and new babies, elk and even bears! We haven't been there with the cousins in a long time and it was so much fun! The weather was beautiful and the park was as always the most wonderful place on earth!
Jonas and the bear - that black dot beside his head is the bear! He loved riding high in the back pack where he could see the world!
Sheepeater's Cliff
Here are the girls on the rocks! The rocks were absolutely huge!

Yellowstone Lake
Jonas and the bear - that black dot beside his head is the bear! He loved riding high in the back pack where he could see the world!
We had dinner at Sheepeater's Cliff! The kids all loved climbing on these rocks! Kendrik, Chandler and Bryan were all part Mountain Goat and scaled all the way to the top! It was a bit scary for me watching it at times - but they all had a blast!
The Little Black Bear
Look at how happy the cousins are together! Audrey, Ashlyn, Chandler, Savannah and above Ashlyn's head is the bear! I Love seeing this kind of joy on their faces! It was an absolutely Perfect day! Let's go back!!
Yellowstone Lake
Grace gathering her ammo!! She loved throwing rocks in the lake! By some miracle she managed to stay dry during our little outing at the lake!
West Yellowstone & Old Snaggletooth
On Saturday May 23rd we took a drive to Mesa Falls and then on to West Yellowstone. It ended up starting to rain while we were at Mesa Falls which prompted the drive on to West and when we crossed the Montana State Line the rain stopped! We went to the Yellowstone Museum, which I went to as a kid, so it was fun to relive it with them! And of course for dinner we stopped by the Canyon Street Grill! Yum!
Bison Statues
These bison statues were on display outside the museum there were probably 20-25, they were amazing! Here is the one we all liked best and then the girls each had a personal fav!
The museum was all about early travel and tourism in the park! The kids loved it! The most famous part of all though is the stuffed "Old Snaggletooth" in the museum. He was the most famous grizzly in Yellowstone and had several unique characteristics; he was blind on his left eye, had a claw missing on his left hand, most of his left ear was gone and his lower right canine was broken in such a way that it stuck out the side of his jaw - thus the name! He weighed over 1000 pounds and was a frequent scavenger at the garbage dump in West Yellowstone back when that was allowed. He was also the subject of many photographs and books! In May 1970 he was shot by poachers while he was at the garbage dump, his body was recovered and now stands in the museum.

JONAS
Can I just say I absolutely love my son! It has been so much fun to add a boy to our family! Just wanted to show how handosme he is! He has actually had a little hair cut since this picture was taken now it is all spiky on top! Anyway there are a lot of pictures of the girls on here so I just wanted to showcase Jonas for a minute!! He is so ADORABLE!! We are definately gonna keep him!!
Spring Recital
Friday night was the girls' spring recital! It was so amazing to watch their dances and see the progress both have made this year! Savannah was waxing sentimental the night before the recital realizing it would be the last time she would be preforming Kung Fu and Jump up! It was very sweet. I thought she would be about sick to death of those dances she has danced them each probably a hundred times or more! But she has loved every minute of it! It will be nice to have the summer off and then get right back into it in August! Savannah is so excited to cut off her hair - she wants it to her jaw!! She looks forward to that every summer and then she grows it out again in time for the winter recital so I can get it into a bun! So she will get it cut this week! Thanks to our family and friends who came to watch the girls dance! It is so nice to have so much love and support! Savannah is standing in front of some of the trophies her studio won during competitions this year - her team was responsible for several of those trophies!
